Hilbert began his career as Administrative Assistant to Alan Horn, President and COO of 20th Century Fox, after being hired from the studio mail room.
Hilbert later shifted his focus to production where he worked as an assistant and protégé to James Cameron. From there he moved on to be an Assistant Director on close to forty motion pictures including: WHATS LOVE GOT TO DO WITH IT, BOYS ON THE SIDE, TEAM AMERICA and BATMAN BEGINS.
In addition to James Cameron, Hilbert has had tenure with other extraordinary directors such as Herbert Ross, Mike Nichols, Cameron Crowe, Billy Freidkin, Chris Nolan and Kathryn Bigelow.
KREWS is Hilbert's directorial debut.
